Looking for something more than work
and weekends?
Many of our members joined because they wanted their time and experience to count for something locally — while meeting good people along the way.
Different ages. Different backgrounds. Shared purpose.

Making a Difference Locally
Each year we raise over £60,000 for charities and community causes across King’s Lynn and West Norfolk through hands-on, well-supported events such as the Rotary Swimarathon, the Sandringham Easter Egg Trail and Firewalk to Fundraise!, as well as providing marshals for major runs including GEAR and Run Sandringham.
Alongside our local work, we also contribute to wider Rotary initiatives, including End Polio Now in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and support projects such as ShelterBox and Lend with Care.
It’s practical, community-focused and makes a real difference — both close to home and further afield.
Two Ways to Get Involved
Both branches work closely together and support the same causes. You simply choose the format that fits your life.
Main Club – Weekly
Meet every Wednesday evening at King’s Lynn Golf Club at 7.30pm.
Optional meal beforehand if you’d like to eat with members, at 6.30pm.
Regular member and guest speakers, established annual events including the Rotary Swimarathon and Easter Egg Hunt at Sandringham, plus a friendly social calendar.
Satellite – Monthly
Meet on the second Monday of each month at The Farmers, Knights Hill, King's Lynn at 7pm.
A more flexible format that works well around busy work and family life.
Creative fundraising events including Firewalk to Fundraise! and distinctive social gatherings.
Fancy a Coffee & Chat?
Most new members start with a relaxed, informal chat before coming to a meeting.
You’ll usually meet Anna and one or two other members — people balancing careers, family life and community involvement — who are happy to answer questions and help you decide if it feels right.
No pressure. Just a conversation.

Let us know when is good for a quick chat and Anna will be in touch: prioryrotarysatelliteclub@gmail.com
Derek Stringer
Kings Lynn Priory Rotary President.
" I joined Rotary initially for social reasons. I knew a number of Priory Rotary members and it struck me that it would be a good opportunity to expand my social contacts. However, a few months in and I realised that there was a lot
more to Rotary than just social events. Priory Rotary Club has a very busy programme of events which raise large sums of money for local and international charities in addition to running educational competitions for school children. I find playing a part in these very satisfying. Our club is bringing so much good to needy purposes on a monthly and annual basis and I am proud to be part of in."
