Derek takes on Presidency of Priory Rotary for second time

King’s Lynn Priory Rotary’s new President is Derek Stringer, who has taken on the role for the second time. He was first elected in 2020/21 only to find that covid lockdowns seriously curtailed his Presidency. During that 12 months in office all meetings were conducted on-line by Zoom, and most of the club’s charitable and social activities could not take place.

Derek takes on presidency and will now be able to preside over a full programme of events, including the Rotary Swimarathon, Senior Citizens Film Club and Easter Egg Trail at Sandringham, which raised over £40,000 for charitable causes. Thanking his predecessor John Leonard, Derek said the club was in a healthy shape, with several new members adding impetus both to the main club and also to the thriving Satellite section.
