Harvest Lunch, Dictionaries for Life & Litter Picking

Priory Rotary enjoyed a busy week of community service, hosting a Harvest Lunch for local older residents, distributing Dictionaries 4 Life to primary schools and organising a community litter pick...

Priory Rotary hosted their annual Harvest Lunch for older local citizens at Dersingham Village Centre on Saturday October 18th. 70 guests were treated to beef stew and dumplings, followed by apple and blackberry pie and tea or coffee, provided by Ann Pacini and served by other Priory members. Entertainment was then provided by Rotarians Rowena Senido who sang popular songs and President Derek Stringer with a solo performance on the saxophone. Photos below.

Earlier in the week, members of Priory Rotary were busy handing out Dictionaries 4 Life to year 4 students at St Martha’s and Sandringham and West Newton primary schools, the first of 11 schools to be presented with these beautifully illustrated and informative books. This was followed by presentations to the other schools over the next 6 weeks.

And on Wednesday 15th, Priory had joined forces with residents from Amberley Hall carry out a much-needed litter pick at Peppers Green. A huge amount of rubbish was collected by the team. The photos are before the start and at the end of the litter pick.
