The visit offered members the opportunity to explore the development of radar technology from its crucial contribution during the Battle of Britain through to its importance in Cold War defence systems. Volunteers at the museum delivered highly engaging talks, sharing their extensive knowledge with clarity, passion and expertise, bringing history vividly to life.

With so much to see and explore throughout the museum, the visit proved both educational and enjoyable for everyone attending. One particular highlight was Bharti’s chance to climb into a cockpit and experience the controls firsthand, which provided plenty of fun and a memorable moment.
