Sandringham & District Rotary Holds First Meeting Following Charter
The Rotary Club of King’s Lynn Priory & Satellite is proud to be supporting the development of a new Rotary Club in West Norfolk, strengthening Rotary’s presence and community impact across the region.

The Sandringham & District Rotary Club recently held its first meeting since Charter, on 7th April 2026, at Ingoldisthorpe Village Hall, bringing together members and supporters as the Club begins its journey.
As sponsor Club, King’s Lynn Priory has played a key role in supporting the formation and early development of the new group — helping to establish a Club designed around modern lifestyles, with a strong family focus and a flexible, fortnightly meeting structure.
President of King’s Lynn Priory Rotary, Derek Stringer, welcomed the milestone and reaffirmed the Club’s commitment to supporting its continued growth.
“This is exactly what Rotary should be doing — growing, adapting and reaching more people,” he said. “We are incredibly proud to sponsor the Sandringham & District Rotary Club and to support its development as it builds its own identity within the community.”
The new Club is led by President Jean-Marie Vernon, a long-standing Rotarian whose experience and dedication will guide the Club as it establishes itself in the area.
Jean-Marie Vernon said:
“We wanted to create something that feels open, welcoming and relevant to people’s lives today. This Club is about bringing people together — not just to support the community, but to enjoy being part of it. With the support of King’s Lynn Priory, we’re starting with strong foundations and a clear sense of purpose.”
Through its sponsorship, King’s Lynn Priory Rotary is committed to helping the new Club build strong foundations for long-term success — creating more opportunities for local people to get involved, connect and contribute to their community.
The launch reflects a wider commitment from King’s Lynn Priory & Satellite to grow Rotary in a way that is accessible, relevant and community-led.
With strong leadership in place and ongoing support from its sponsor Club, the Sandringham & District Rotary Club is already well positioned to make a positive impact across West Norfolk.
