Priory Rotary Donation Supports Alzheimer’s Society Following Weight Loss Challenge

The latest donation from Priory Rotary is £1000 to the Alzheimer’s Society, following a sponsored weight loss challenge by Rotarian Paul Batterham.

President John Leonard nominated the Alzheimer’s Society as his charity of the year, recognising the devastating effect this disease can have on sufferers and their families. This donation will help people with Alzheimer’s to access potentially life-changing support when they need it most, as well as providing funds for vital dementia research and innovation.

This follows an earlier donation of £500 from fellow Rotarian Ken Johnson from his weight loss challenge to the St Faith’s Church Friendship Café, which gives weekly support and companionship to local dementia sufferers and their partners/carers.
