Teams Cook Up a Storm at Rotary Charity Cooking Experience

Four teams of enthusiastic food lovers rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into a lively evening of cooking, tasting and friendly competition at a recent Charity Cooking Experience hosted by Rotary King’s Lynn Priory Satellite in partnership with Foodie Friends with Linda Taylor.

The teams hard at working making the Champagne Lemon Slush with Linda Taylor assisting.

The interactive event saw participants cook and taste a range of dishes using the Thermomix, including a refreshing Champagne Lemon Slush, a vibrant Super Quick Broccoli Salad, and a comforting classic Mushroom Risotto. Alongside the cooking, guests sampled an impressive variety of foods prepared in the Thermomix, from butters, dips and sauces to peanut butter and mini pizzas, giving everyone a real flavour of just how versatile the appliance can be.

Adding to the fun, teams went head-to-head in a lively foodie quiz, testing their knowledge of pantry ingredients, drinks and cocktails, and global gastronomy. There was also a “Name the Chocolate Bar from the Clue” round and a challenge to identify the mystery ingredient hidden in three different cakes – which proved surprisingly tricky.

The evening was rounded off with a raffle and plenty of laughter, making it a thoroughly enjoyable event for everyone involved.

All proceeds from the evening will go towards Rotary’s local good causes, supporting charitable work within the community.

The event was expertly led by Linda Taylor of Foodie Friends with Linda Taylor, whose warm and engaging style kept the energy high throughout the evening.

Linda hosts charity cooking experiences across Norfolk, helping organisations raise funds while bringing people together for a fun and memorable evening around food.
